LOW ROPE COURSES
Low Rope Course emphasize on group dynamics, leadership skills and positive communication to achieve success.
Low Ropes Elements are a series of cables, ropes, and obstacles strung between trees or poles, 12 to 18 inches above the ground, low rope elements present tests of physical strength, stamina, agility, balance, and flexibility, and invite participants to confront such emotional issues as the fear of falling, the fear of failure, and the fear of losing control. Risk is managed by group members who assume critical spotting roles. involve problems using real and imaginary ground-based obstacles: cables, ropes, and platforms between trees or poles, a foot or so above the ground. Low ropes elements test physical strength, stamina, agility, balance, and flexibility, and invite participants to confront such emotional issues as the fear of falling, the fear of failure, and the fear of losing control. Examples include: Swinging Balance Beam, Triangle Traverse, Tire Swings, and Mohawk Walk.

The Porthole is constructed by suspending a tire between poles or trees. Participants will cross from one side of the porthole to the other without touching the porthole. The group must create a plan that takes participant physical ability and size to lift, pass, and spot participants in order to get them through.
The Alligator Crossing is a series of platforms set out approximately 8 feet apart that the group must cross using a 6 foot board. Each platform becomes progressively smaller. The object is to get the entire group from behind a line on the ground onto each successive platform until they crossed to a span of an imaginary river without touching the ground. The group must do this without the aid of any foreign objects (sticks, rope, etc) EXCEPT the one 6-foot board they are given. The group must create a strategy, assign roles, work as a team, and assess progress throughout the entire activity.
Wild Woozy or Commitment Bridge
The commitment bridge has two foot cables that form a "Y" between trees or poles. The objective is work with a partner to try to go as far along the cables as possible without falling.
The Swinging Log is a popular ropes course element that is constructed between trees or poles. A tree or log is suspended with cables between trees or poles, making it very difficult to stand on. The objective is to perform various group balancing tasks on top of the log.
The Spider's Web is a popular ropes course element that is constructed between trees, or on portable or stand-alone structures. The objective is to cross from one side of the spider's web to the other without touching the web. The group must create a plan that takes participant physical ability and size to lift, pass, and spot participants in order to get them through.
Tee Pee Shuffle
The Tee Pee Shuffle is simply a log or pole on the ground that groups can balance on. You can make one with more of a finished look by elevating the log. The objective is to have the group perform various tasks while balanced on the log.
The Mohawk Walk is series of footcables strung between trees or poles, typically in a zig zag pattern. The object is to get the entire group from the first tree to the last without touching the ground, and without the aid of foreign objects (sticks, rope, etc). The group must create a strategy, assign roles, work as a team, and assess progress throughout the entire activity.
The Whale Watch is a popular ropes course activity that is constructed by create a large platform with a see saw action, which imitates the rocking back and forth of a ship. The objective is to have the group perform various functions on the platform without allowing the edges of the platform to touch the ground.
The Challenge Walk sits off the ground 12 to 48 inches while extending the length of three football fields. It features 20 interconnected activities that weaves under a canopy of trees keeping you cool in the summer.
The Tire Traverse is one of the most popular low ropes elements. Tires are suspended in the air by cables and the group's goal is to cross through the element without touching the ground. This is the first event in our team challenge circuit that tests physical endurance as well as group work. Encouragement is essential to the full completion of this task.
Multi Line Traverse
Multi Line Traverse is ideal for groups working together or alone. Ropes are spaced farther and farther apart as you travel along the cable. This is a good warm up for our high ropes multi line that is 24' above ground. Everybody smiles and enjoys the fun and camaraderie and they appreciate being just inches from the ground.
The third element in our non stop low ropes course. The Zig Zag uses deductive reasoning to calculate which of the three boards is used in what order to snap into a make shift bridge. Balance and teamwork ...and did we mention sharing. All of the boards need to be passed back and forth to move your entire team across the 6 Zig Zag expansion bridges.
Designed to move and sway, our Floating Islands do just that ...they float all over the place. This low ropes course event tests your confidence and foot speed. The faster you go the easier it can be! With over 33 feet to cross and just five islands you need to keep everything in motion. A great team challenge.
Once you stretch the rope out towards the middle everything changes. To make this low ropes course event even harder the rope only makes it 20 feet. The last seven feet requires team assistance or a long leap of faith.
Imagine a Suspended Log that sits 20 feet above ground...how hard will it be to walk with no hands? Our low ropes course version sits just 12 inches off the ground and because of this everybody zooms across this log. Take the challenge and do both with no hands or do it with two or three team mates. You will need and easy event after the tension traverse.
Heebie Jeebie is the name for this low ropes course team builder. Ours is over 27 feet long and somewhere in the middle is where the name came from. Two intersecting ropes cross to create both and obstacle and a blessing. The blessing is the second rope and the obstacle is the extreeme balance it takes to get around the knots.
The Horizontal Ladder is over 50 feet of angled walkway that rises and falls between 6 trees. Your team walks through this maze of angles while the ladder shakes and moves from side to side. A great team challenge for all age groups.
It fly's over a valley and has over 200 feet of cable holding it to two trees. It's called The Zip Seat and it's our warm up to it's bigger brother the twin Zip line. Friends and team mates push the seat at different speeds to achieve the desired results. Ideal for tandem rides as well as high speed adventures.
Sounds like a gymnastics element. Pass every member of your team from one side of the trees to the other via a 15 foot suspended log. Each team mate must be passed over the top of the log to the other side. Tons of fun and strategies that build stronger relationships.
A true trusting experience happens every time as you fall backwards into the crossed arms of your co-workers or friends. The Trust Fall relies on the strengths of many to support the smallest or largest person. A straight backwards fall without hesitation is the true mark of trust.
Balance takes on many forms...Demonstrating form while on a 16 foot platform with lots of other people is challenging. The Balance Platform places two at a time on a stand up, sit down teeter totter and continually adds and subtracts team members while balancing the entire platform. Up for the challenge?
The Meuse Crossing
The group must move from one end of the Meuse to the other, using only the limited resources provided. Individuals and resources are not allowed to touch the ground within the Meuse.
The Bullz Eye
The bullz eye (or giants finger) event challenges participants to carefully remove a large ring off of a sleeping giants finger without touching the finger itself and waking the giant up.
The Criss Cross
Participants traversing across different diverging cables must work together to pass each other without stepping off the cables. Other group members serve as spotters to keep the team moving on the element without touching the ground.
Traffic Jam Stumps
The team must strategically move to solve this human chess problem that has the left side switch places with the right side. Participants may only move one stump at a time, move into an empty space and only travel forward.
This high energy activity has team members working together using plastic channels to move a tiny ball from one location to another without dropping the ball. The ball can only roll forward and may never touch the ground.
Sometimes called Toxic Waste, this activity is an excellent way to challenge a groups ability to solve complex problems. To be successful teams must ransport a variety of substances from one are to another without dropping or touching their cargo . Harder than it appears this activity will keep even the best groups challenged.
Get your group around this giant replica of a childhood favorite. Your group must navigate successfully through this intricate maze without dropping the ball.
This magical lightweight pole must be put on the ground in an even and balanced position. No group members fingers are allowed to release contact with the Helium Stick.
This extra large version of a classic mental problem, is a great activity for small and large groups.
Island consists of two larger raised wooden platforms with a smaller platform in the middle. The platforms are about 7 feet apart. The task is to get the whole group from one large platform to the other large platform via the small platform using two board that by themselves aren't quite long enough. No jumping! And if anyone touches the ground, they may have to start again.
The group, working in unison, places or removes the giant ring from the 8' - 10' high finger. Proper planning, safety and spotting must be implemented in order to assure success.
The objective of this element is to cross an area about 20' (ft.) square using two 4"X4"s which are 10' in length with our falling off. The beams are equipped with rope loops to be used as handles.
Poles and cable configured to offer several different low ropes challenges. Wild woozy, tension traverse and the mohawk walk provide unique challenges for repeat group and progressive programs.
Nitro Crossing is a rope swing. The team uses it to cross a "bottomless chasm." Each member must get across without knocking off the "trip wires" or "falling into the chasm." They must also take a container of liquid without spilling. different attachments can be used on the rope to make this an inclusive element for all ages and abilities.
The group must cross an area approximately 20' (ft.) square using three 2" X 4"s which are 8'-10' in length. The boards are placed on protruding concrete blocks and the group must cross the "acid river" without falling in. Also called "Corporate Pastures."
A horizontal spider web great for blindfolded activities, young people, corporate clients, The maze provides numerous challenges for all ages and abilities.
Guidelines for the ‘Rope Course’:
- Only equipment provided by the organiser is permitted eg. helmet, belt, carabiner,… This equipment must be worn while using the course!
- The course should be used only by those with sturdy shoes. We ask you to wear clothing suitable for sport, eg. No skirts/dresses.
- Long hair must be tied back in a hairband.
- Piercings must be covered.
- Insecure items such as keys, mobile phones, jewellery should be left on the ground.
- Smoking in close proximity to the climbing equipment is strictly forbidden. Smoking in general at the Rope Course is forbidden!
- Entry for those considered to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will be declined.
- The organiser accepts no Liability for ripped/soiled clothing.
- Each participant must fill and complete a medical form.
- Participants under the age of 16 years must have a signature of a Custodian/Guardian.
- Instructions given by the Trainer must be adhered to.
- Those who do not comply with instructions will be disqualified!
- The Rope Course is also convenient for beginners.
- Maximum weight for each individual is 120 kg.
